I will dominate 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex twice world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the customary confrontation, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really happening.
